A cage is it good or bad (let's discuss the pros and cons)

To begin with, what is associated with cage in our mind and why are we so negative about this accessory? Of course, it is associated with restriction of movement, and causes a storm of negativity in our thoughts.

I suggest you to look at this topic from the other side.

The most important thing is that a cage or a box is a TEMPORARY restriction of movement for the safety of your four-legged friend.

In order to make your beloved friend feel comfortable, you should put a cage at home, open the door, put his soft comfortable lounger there and cover the cage with a thin blanket. So you will create a quiet, comfortable place where your pet can retire and relax after a walk or active games, he can also chew on a delicious treat there.

You are going on a trip and taking your four-legged friend with you - great! Do not forget about the cage! The dog will feel comfortable during the trip, because he/she will be traveling with you and in his lovely “house”. He will not be stressed about the trip, because he/she won`t know where you are going! And the most important that it is SAFE both for you and for your dog!!!

The dog will not distract you from the road and won`t create emergency situations!!!

And if this is a trip by plane, then without the box your friend will not be taken aboard the aircraft and also hotels specify the mandatory presence of a cage during the booking. How your pet will feel if you did not take care beforehand and did not accustom him to the box, did not create an association of safety and comfort - of course, it will be a great stress for him!

And now you are already at a place which is new for you and your friend.

And if a situation when you need to leave for 5 minutes arises and you cannot take a dog with you. Leaving him in an unfamiliar place is NOT SAFE!

And again, a familiar and comfortable house (cage) will help a lot!

We often travel and go to the dog shows, and in the hustle and bustle of the ring, our pets relax in their houses, where they have a carefully laid soft blanket and, of course, the cage is protected from external irritants.

I love my dogs very much and I am not ready to expose them to dangers, stresses and negative influences. So, the PROPER using of the cage/ box preserves their nervous system and under certain circumstances it can preserve their health and even life!
